• "What Bemidji Has That Could Lead the World" (as seen on the cover page of Northwoods Woman)

• "Running Upstream" tells the story of how Peacemaker Resources came to be, and where it is going.  Tone Bleie, who is on leave from her position as director of the Center for Peace Studies in Tromso, Norway while she serves as senior advisor to a UN peacemaking group in Nepal, visited Peacemaker Resources in 2011.  She says in the article:  "The very concept of enabling very young persons to be peace mediators not just for peers, but also sensitizing adults, is very innovative...and could work in some other cultures."   Read the full story in the January/February 2012 issue of Northwoods Woman magazine.

• Peacemaker Resources staff have been invited to present a workshop on Education Day (March 2nd, 2012) at the 24th annual Nobel Peace Prize Forum in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

"The Nobel Peace Prize Forum is a premier international event designed to inspire peacemaking, broadly defined. As the Norwegian Nobel Institute’s only affiliation outside Norway, the Forum has probed the deep questions of peace and conflict for more than 23 years. It is not a “sit and listen” conference. In the physical presence of a Peace Prize winner, attendees are uplifted by hearing firsthand of the Laureate’s work, struggles, and triumphs, and they have opportunities to ask questions and interact with the Laureate in a dynamic setting."  Click on the link to learn more about the Nobel Peace Prize Forum:

•  Sue Liedl, Teacher/Trainer for Peacemaker Resources and the primary creator of the STAR Program, was awarded the "Excellence in an Organization Award" from the Northwest Minnesota Foundation.  The work Sue does through Peacemaker Resources has impacted over 9,000 students in the 2010/2011 school year.  Thank you, Sue, for all you do to promote peace in the world!
