The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) website has a great resource page for Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in the home. Browse the web pages, blogs, newsletters-guides, book list and so much more for tools and resources. It is jam-packed with great information for parents!
The "Common Sense Media" link has reviews of movies, apps, video games, and other media available to children. Movies have parent-level age ratings as well as a kid's perspective of the appropriate age level.
Another interesting resource called "NBC Parent Toolkit" provides developmental markers at each age/stage, with guidance for parents on how to support their children in their academic, health and wellness, and social and emotional stages.
These are just a couple of the many resources available at the CASEL site. Enjoy exploring what might be helpful to you!
