About Peacemaker Resouces

​Peacemaker Resources is a nonprofit organization based in Bemidji, MN.  For the last 20 years, we have supported building peace skills throughout Minnesota and beyond. We work with youth and adults in programming related to three focused areas:
  • Social and Emotional Learning & Mindfulness
  • Cultural Responsiveness
  • Trauma-Sensitive Practices

Below, you will find our Intended Outcomes that guide all of our work. ​

Emotionally Healthy Youth

Youth will be competent in skills leading to greater self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills.

Caring Supportive Schools

Schools will offer caring and support, a sense of “community” in the classroom, clear standards for behavior, non-coercive approaches and student involvement in school tasks and decisions.

Life Enriching Families

Family members will feel connected with each other in a warm and caring atmosphere using non-coercive approaches instead of severe criticism, shaming and blaming.

Respectful Communities

There will be cultural understanding and respect among diverse individuals and groups in the community. Everyone will grow up in a nurturing environment.

Healthy Workplaces

Employees will feel safe, trusted, valued and supported in workplaces that utilize effective systems of communication and conflict management.

Geographic Priorities

Efforts will be targeted in Bemidji, Cass Lake and the twelve counties in the Northwest Minnesota Foundation region, although services will not be limited to anyone based on geographic location.
