Mindfulness

Picture
Peacemaker Resources believes that practicing mindfulness can improve the quality of life of both youth and adults.  We provide mindfulness training for teachers, students, and businesses. Teaching mindfulness in workplace environments and in educational institutions, helps individuals to learn how to cope with the stress in their lives.
"Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment."

Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future."

Still, Quiet Place -
Silent Retreat

Picture
Understanding the importance of being mindful, friends of Peacemaker Resources have built a cabin, The Still, Quiet Place,  to offer the rejuvenation that comes with quiet, simplicity, and nature.  It is a place to be present and in-tune with yourself.  It is a place to step out of business, responsibilities and distractions.

The Still, Quiet Place is a simple cabin designed for use by one person.  It is located in a Northern MN field with a beautiful view and trails to walk.  The space is simple, has an abundance of natural light and is designed for year-round use.   Learn More!
