Cultural Responsiveness
Peacemaker Resources recognizes the central role culture plays in the way we as individuals understand and interact with the world around us. We know that in order to support respectful communication that promotes authentic connection with others, it is necessary to understand how to acknowledge, include, and respond to a wide variety of cultural perspectives.
Our work in Cultural Responsiveness seeks to promote a shared understanding that will increase cultural agility -- from navigating daily conversations in our communities to more in-depth processes that involve a diverse group of individuals and/or organizations. Contact Linsey to find out about scheduling informational sessions on cultural responsiveness, historical trauma and resiliency. |
Bemidji Area Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Initiative |
Peacemaker Resources is currently utilizing these tools to assist in the facilitation of the Bemidji Area Truth, Healing and Reconciliation initiative. The grassroots, community-driven process has an initial focus on increasing understanding and building relationships among our area indigenous and non-indigenous communities, in order to promote truth-seeking, healing and change.
