5th Grade
Welcome to the Peacemaker Resources SEL for Everyone curriculum!
This curriculum consists of 20 lessons, divided into four theme sets, designed to support the classroom environment throughout the school year. Our curriculum is written by our SEL team that has been teaching for over 20 years in hundreds of classrooms throughout Northern Minnesota. We value the voices of teachers, staff, and administration in schools and have an advisory team made up of local school staff. This advisory team has helped us hone our curriculum, make it more accessible, and find ways to best support the teachers that are sharing our lessons.
You will also notice that every
grade has the same lesson topics in the same order across our curriculum. We have
designed our curriculum to support schoolwide efforts and implementation of SEL
skills.
We are proud to share our updated
2022-2023 curriculum. Our lessons teach students to develop fundamental
emotional and social competencies to recognize and manage emotions, develop
caring and concern for others, establish positive relationships, make
responsible decisions, and handle challenging situations constructively. The
lessons are developmentally appropriate and build in complexity from one
grade level to the next.
Access to our SEL for Everyone
curriculum includes an Introduction outlining our lessons, resource lists,
along with access to LIVE support materials that are continuously being updated
with new Mindful Moments and Energy Shifting Activities from our SEL team
throughout the year.
